Collection: Gbaoso by Wealth Ndego - Igbo-Inspired Fashion & Community Movement

Gbaoso means “to run” in Igbo/Ukwuani. This collection celebrates movement—of bodies, ideas, and culture—and honors the power of running to bring people together.

Created in partnership with Run Minnesota, local designer Wealth Ndego draws on West African traditions while reimagining what it means to be a runner, a creator, and a community builder in Minnesota today.

The collection weaves together powerful cultural symbols: the four-lobed kola nut, representing peace, harmony, and blessings, and Uli, an ancient Igbo practice of body and mural art. Each piece in the Gbaoso Collection carries stories of resilience, joy, and connection. Blending heritage with the spirit of running, the collection transforms fashion into a living expression of community and movement.

Every purchase of items from this collection support more than just your wardrobe. A portion of all proceeds from sales of items from this collection are paid to the designer, Wealth Ndego, and support Run Minnesota in its efforts to make the sport of running accessible to all while serving the running community across Minnesota.
