Bring elegance and cultural pride together with the White Flare Leggings featuring an eye-catching green kola nut design on the bottom left leg. These leggings merge comfort, versatility, and style, making them a must-have for every wardrobe.
This piece comes from the Gbaoso Collection—"to run"—a line designed by Wealth Ndego and exclusive to Run Minnesota. The collection honors the strength, creativity, and unity of Minnesota’s running community.
It also includes the Gbaoso kola nut design. Native to West African regions, the kola nut (Cola Acuminata or Cola Nitida) is the seed of the kola fruit from the kola tree. While it holds cultural importance across many West African ethnic groups, in Igbo culture it is revered as “the king of all fruits” for its central role in social and religious traditions. In this collection, the kola nut is designed with four lobes (Oji ibe eno), also called Oji Udo na Ngozi — which translates to “kola nut of peace, harmony, and blessings.”
Why You’ll Love Them:
*Cultural Connection: The bold green kola nut design pays homage to heritage and symbolism, serving as a unique statement of unity and strength.
*All-Day Comfort: Made with high-quality, breathable fabric, these leggings provide a soft, stretchy fit that adapts to your movements, whether you're bending, stretching, or lounging.
*Sophisticated Style: The high-waisted fit enhances your silhouette, while the flared legs add a touch of elegance and flow.
*Versatile for All Occasions: From powering through workouts to complementing your casual looks, these leggings transition seamlessly between active and relaxed settings.
*Design That Stands Out: The contrast between the crisp white fabric and the vibrant green kola nut detail ensures you’ll turn heads wherever you go.
Product Specifications:
• 74% recycled polyester, 26% elastane
• Soft and stretchy premium quality fabric with a mild compression feel
• Moisture-wicking fabric
• UPF 50+ protection
• High-waisted with a butt-lifting cut
• Flared design from the knee down
• Double-layered waistband with a pocket on the inside
• The fabric is OEKO-TEX 100 standard certified
Every purchase of items from this collection support more than just your wardrobe. A portion of all proceeds from sales of items from this collection are paid to the designer, Wealth Ndego, and support Run Minnesota in its efforts to make the sport of running accessible to all while serving the running community across Minnesota.
Considerations:
• If body measurements fall between sizes, size up for a comfortable fit and size down for a snug fit.
• In areas where the fabric is double-layered (like pockets), details from the inner fabric layer may subtly show through, especially with lighter designs.
• Please note that contact with rough surfaces should be avoided since they can pull out the white fibers in the fabric, damaging the leggings.
This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. As a smaller nonprofit, we make products on demand instead of in bulk to provide more options and prevent the waste of overproduction. Thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
